Definitely a strange case. At a glance I believe that anyone who pays attention would suspect that things are not as they might seem. In combination with his recent split with OpenAI and speaking out against them it really does look like foul play. I will say however, that we cannot forget that depression and mental illness does not work the way healthy people think it does. A person can be completely fine and loving life one minute, and the next they're considering why they even need to exist. The switch really is that quick. Anyone who has experienced these horrific thoughts will know what I mean. Having a full life, having future plans, none of that really matters if the person's brain is not working correctly. They may desperately *want* those future plans to come to fruition, but intrusive thoughts cannot be beaten sometimes. And a lot of people who deal with these issues do not seek professional help, they simply deal with it in silence. So for me, this can go either way. Unless more damning evidence comes to light, I will reserve judgement. As I said though, at first glance it does seem more than just a little suspicious.
