I totally support this message. I'm afraid AI companies won't do anything for you. We have to do something ourselves.
I'm not an artist, but some of my close friends are. On my side I've been working in IT and cloud IT for years now. We plan to release a platform on the internet/cloud that will enable artists to store and share their portfolios. We even plan in second phase to enable them to sell their art online in a fair manner. This platform aims to defend artists first and by design, standard image links won't be readable in clear by AI crawlers so that indexing will fail.
