FALSE! hallucinations of AI is not what you describe. You gave AI too much of human features. it has no idea what it is spewing out, it is just bunch of multi dimensional neuron with information of probability. For example it knows that word "nine" is a number, it is used after description of amount, etc. those information of after and before it is used are those dimensions, but it has no idea how to use it. That is why it halucinating in legal documents it has no idea what those numbers in law meas it has no idea that it is paragraph. It just know that there is numer and a lot of time it is different number, so it puts random numer. AND it needs to have error. otherwise it would spew out always the same answer. that is called overtraining.
