Not disagreeing with you, but just to share that today I used ChatGPT to help me write an article for work: we had a really interesting meeting last week, where staff were sharing what they learnt from a conference, and I wanted to to turn it into a blog post for our website. I didn't have the time or energy to go through all my notes and rewatch the recording multiple times to organise the discussion into a coherent article from scratch, so instead I feed the meeting transcript through ChatGPT, and asked it to identify the main themes and write them in blog format.
I then I started fact-checking, editing and rewriting (I added quite a bit) - and it saved me hours of work! I personally find editing much easier than writing from scratch (I am not a writer). And still came out pretty interesting! Anyway, just wanted to share a way in which it can be used that I don't think it too problematic. Again, not disagreeing with any of these points, just sharing a related anecdote.
