Humans don't have radar and we can do just fine. Tesla is the same way. Vision is plenty for us and for the computer. As much as I don't like auto-pilot, the improvements in the AI with vision is constantly improving.
As for autopilot term, airplanes have autopilot as well, and they can't fly 100% automatically either and no one complains about the miss-use of that term there.
