another "argument" i've seen is comparing AI to coding software (like ren'py and unity) which makes it easier for non-coders to use. using coding software is not the same as generative ai because you are still putting your input as a human being as you create the story you wish to tell. (i cannot say a lot about unity, but ren'py is practically just writing a story with extra visual steps at bare minimum, or you can really take advantage of visual novels as a medium). tech bros work for ai. my drawings, my writings, my coding, they are meant to work for ME and what i'm looking to gain out of using them, because i know what i want for my art and stories, and these are just mediums to make it easier for me. generative ai does not work like that because there's no transformative quality to it due to lack of human input and inspiration. my personal favorite games all have some kinda connection to the human condition and are meant to be a form of social commentary, something that generative ai cannot replicate because it does not experience what it means to be a human person.
