@alaughingfreak867😂😂 Wha….? I mean, yeah, MOST people who use ai are using it for fun, after that are people using it for business purposes. Most of the things we engage with, every single algorithm and emoji and even auto correct at this point is ai.
As far as generative users, I’d say once you remove the “just for fun” crowd, it’s 85% people just using it in a normal workflow. It’s animators using it for inbetweens and backgrounds, it’s illustrators using it to workshop ideas, it’s fantasy using it to help them build out new languages. Ai is very, very bad at point and click outcomes. It’s a tool like any other that requires getting your hands dirty and using it to fill certain requirements. All of the CGI animation we’ve watched for the last, like, 20 years uses a form of ai. If I want my CGI puppet to jump from a to b, that interpolation isn’t done by me, it’s done by the computer. How do your think automated lip sync happens in Adobe animate? The program has to identify the sound of words and then apply that mouth shape to that sound it recognizes. Every TikTok filter, every VR YouTuber — it’s all ai machine learning.
