What about basic economics?
Throughout history people have scare mongered at industrys dying and jobs being lost.
If a bunch of people are ploughing farmers fields without modern machinery and then we invent a tractor than can pull a plough. Then many people are out of work.
People would moan and complain how terrible it is.
But, society on the whole becomes richer. Everyone should be paying less for their food and now has more spare money to spend elsewhere. This spare money can create opportunity for people to gain employement elsewhere. And that could be anywhere. This is how humanity progresses. People saving time and becoming more efficient pushes down costs. Makes society richer.
You could of course say no. Ban the tractor. Have workers. Okay fine. We all become poorer.
You could say ban modern roofs and bring back thatching. All those thatchers jobs that were lost cam come back. Okay fine. But we're all poorer.
