I think where the AI community get their wires crossed is they don't realise that it's fun to create AI content but going through other people's AI content is awful. It's like having some wierdo on the bus trying telling you about this wierd dream mixed with uncanney valley robots and those sterile executive desk toys that are fun for a day or two but are garbage once the novelty has worn off
