And let us not also ignore the fact of just how many workers turn to driving trucks because of age or injury making it difficult or impossible to work other blue collar labor. I know several truck drivers who were policemen, factory workers, etc before but either their body got to old to handle the job anymore or they suffered an injury that made doing those types of jobs impossible anymore, but bill need paying and they turned to driving a truck to be able to still do something useful and put their body to work making an honest living. What are these sorts of folks supposed to do now when their employers kick them off the payroll in favor of a robot? They cant afford to go to college and spend years of money and time getting a white collar education degree. Are they to just suffer and live off the government dime instead of being productive and useful members of society while they still can? Will that not inherently effect our ability to also care for those in our society who are actually unable to work and are in actual need of help?
This is not an industrial revolution, this is a societal extinction.
