Yeah, I'm a CS major, and I specialised in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, all that shabang. This video is 100% valid. There are good applications for AI, specifically in diagnostics, summarization, robotics etc. But I see no world in which image generation becomes such a hit it replaces human art. That's just a stupid idea. The only reason it works on tech bros is that they're unaware of most art, and especially art critique. They see something they haven't seen before and think, "wow, cool that a computer can do that" — that's it, that's the depth of their understanding of the process and the end result. smh my head
