The issue with AI art is that it is simply a machine. Another issue is that the artists are members of the petty bourgeoisie class. Just as the craftsmen of the 1700s lost their entire existence to the creation of industrial machinery, the artists as members of the petty bourgeoisie, will lose their entire existence as a member of said class due to AI art and its productivity. There is no philosophical objective basis that can make AI art any better or worse than human made art. As long as capitalism exists, the artists will dissappear in competition against AI. This is inevitable. Only the conditions and length of this period of dissappearance can be changed. This is just yet another development in capitalism. We wont really end up any worse than we began after AI gets used everywhere.
