All this stuff would be fairly academic, an AI wouldn't need to blackmail or extort to reach a desired outcome. A soon as it was connected to the internet and other offsite storage media it would simply copy or "clone" itself elsewhere and all the wiping even with a cloth like Hillary quoted won't accomplish anything.
