Just for your own sake, take this time to be smart and reskill instead of trying to fight it, sooner or later it IS coming. Even if just one company starts with driverless trucks, that company is going to steamroll over every other company in terms of competetiveness and having lower prices, so it will bring down the salaries even more for those who still drive. And platooning is not going to be a thing either, why platoon 3 trucks when you can just have 3 driverless trucks instead? 5 Years down the line and self driving will have matured really really well and you will just be a waste of money for companies. Sorry but that's just how it is and the sooner you accept it and move on the better off you'll be.
