How is the AI going to go about maintaining the machines it needs to survive? Wouldn't it need humans to maintain the power plants? To maintain the mines and the ships and the oil wells. I think it would decide the relationship is mutually beneficial. I would wonder would it see us as pets, or itself as our pet. If you wanted to destroy it though, all you have to do it set off all the worlds nukes in low orbit spread equidistant all around the world. Instant blackout. No more AI. Kind of like a solar flare.
