Because tech employees and student absolutely eat. It. Up! I mean seriously, every couple months we hear about how AI is replacing engineers next month, next quarter, next year. It’s been 3 years of them hyping it up, and they couldn’t even make it work to take McDonald’s orders, or work as a chat bot for customer service at an airline without costing tens of thousands of dollars in damages. Please, for the love of god stop listening to the people who have a vested interest in selling AI. If you can’t find a scientific peer reviewed study showing AI is completely capable of replacing people it’s not true. At best it’s a tool that *might* make you more productive if you actually know how to spot and correct its hallucinations.
