Well i believe that since humans cannot conceive of how that premise could be logical, and AI is created by us and will encompass our flaws, we will just continue to fail to answer that question of how to have sentience without that need for self preservation or survival
AI is serving as a huge cosmic mirror on the human condition, and we so far dont like our reflection.
