While I’m in the same boat re: expecting this to be another tech bubble set to burst, that doesn’t mean that we don’t need legislation for AI now that it’s been unleashed upon the world. It’s still causing a ton of harm, and even if it doesn’t fulfill whatever nightmare promises the tech elites are hoping for, it’s going to be around in some capacity for a very long time now that we’ve opened the door for it.
