I agree with the sentiment, however there is an entire gradient between pressing a button and composing a piece from your mind. As in you can compose an original character then generate the background, you can compose a piece then put it through an AI filter adding, removing or changing things slightly. Where does AI art begin and art using automated tools end? Obviously pressing the "generate" button and heading to the copyright office is cut and dry, but the middle stuff is more complicated in my opinion.
