Although I am sure that what you are describing, is ALSO happening; I can tell you, without any doubt whatsoever, jobs are starting to be lost, due to AI efficiencies. Anything you make easier or quicker to complete, in the workplace, will result in fewer jobs. One only needs to look at an Amazon warehouses, to see robotic and AI technologies reducing the quantity of workers required to do what they do, on a daily basis. These warehouses have robots bringing shelves of product to the human "picker" that selects the item and packs it for shipping. That human used to wander the rows and rows of shelves, paper in hand, pushing a cart, searching and picking the items that needed to be shipped. Today, that human is using 20+ technologies, in that minutes long operation, that each incrementally has saved time and effort and reduced the human input to the very few things a mix of AI and robotics can't quite yet replace. The reason that Amazon gives zero Fs about abusing and burning out their workforce, is because they are working towards eventually not needing that workforce and AI and Robots is what is going to deliver that future to Amazon.
