What kind of laws do you imagine you could put in place against AI art? What is your legal precident? The courst have already ruled that AI is transformative enough to not be considered stealing, but generated works can't be copyrighted either since they're artifically generated.
Even if you were to get a ban put in place against all AI image generators (impossible given the sheer number of companies and groups that would fight it tooth and nail) it would be a completely futile effort. All the best engines and models are all open-source and free, so even if you get court orders against the most popular ones, new ones based on that code will pop up under different domains. It would litearlly be like fighting the hydra, and pushing further to get it all banned would only make people more determined to keep developing it.
The genie is out of the bottle, there's no way to put it back in.
