@romannewhearth9907 The phrase to refer to products is ordinarily "work of art" (or artwork), but gets shortened down for conversation to "art". And the work in question isn't just about technique or the method that a person uses, it's just as much about the ideas and imagination that inspired an artist to use those techniques while aiming for a specific effect. That's the human aspect that makes art varied and grow, successes and failures included. And how new techniques and styles get created. Its the key thing that AI lacks and makes it barely register as a work of art; it lacks the ability for change and development of style. No growth, no work, not even any real "ideas". Just...a picture.
To say that "art" is defined by the end product itself is as reductive as saying "It doesn't matter how or why a tragedy happened, all that matters is that it happened."
