@ForOne814 As a lawyer if your job gets automated that would be horrible, because then a program based on pure logic would decide on things far more complicated than it could comprehend and you'd think, because what's good and bad is not just as simple as black and white, 0 or 1, yes or no. Humans are infinitely complex beings with emotions in the mix and that you can not replicate with AI ( you can argue that's just for now, maybe it will be possible in the future, maybe not, noone knows) It's not about fighting automation, because that's a good thing if done right. And that's just sad that being an artist was never a stable career opportunity. Ai can train on non copyrighted data, or copyrighted even if they purchase it first, but you are just saying that if it's online then it's free for all, everyone can take anything and use it for commercial use, and that's not how this works. If you think that way, try to use any copyrighted music in a video on youtube and see if you'll make it. Or just try and create something like a drawing with the intent of selling it and then put it on the internet to advertise it and watch others take that drawing, feeding into an AI without your permission and selling it. That would be your intellectual property being stolen and used without your consent, you see no money from it, but it's being use to make money off of it and see if that makes your butt hurt or not. AI isn't just watching art and copying it with it's own interpretation, it uses the exact same data found on that art and taking it and putting into one image into a collage of millions of art, it's not creating, it's using the exact same data.
