It's just the attention mechanism doing it's job, when you continue the same conversation even the first tokens (which is not preserved in most attention mechanisms, meaning llm doesn't and can't remember it after the context window shifts it out) affects the current message, this is a common concept in ATTENTION TRANSFORMERS or basically currently all the popular LLMs
