Preddit is one of the worst places on the internet and its entire design is extremely socially manipulative. It's not just the mods, the CEO and the entire site's culture and design is a problem. This became especially bad once the old CEO stepped down, the founders were genuinely in favor of freedom of speech and user control, the current CEO has directly manipulated comments, algorithms, forced his own mods in to push his changes in private subs, and instituted shad0w banning. The design of Reddit highly incentivizes you into groupthink.
