FSD Beta 11.4.x shows very well that it's not about sensors anymore to reach automous driving. It's about feeding AI. All mistakes done by FSD are due to lack of training (and not an imcomplete view around the car). I'm quite sure there will be many companies that cut lidar as soon as they are capable of rendering 2d camera material to 3d model as accurate as Tesla does. And they have to develope that redundant visual system, otherwise they are not going to drive in bad weather conditions...
