@thewannabecritic7490 AI makes custom porn, tabletop RPG visual aids, concept/inspiration art, top tier memery, and images to insert into articles and presentations. All in seconds and for free.
See, AI doesn't make art, since art requires a message. But it makes useful illustrations. And 99% of the "artists" bitching don't really make art either, they're also making illustrations, just slower, worse, and for commissions.
I think horse-car comparison is really fair. Real art won't die, just like horses didn't die. It'll just be greatly reduced and relegated to a leisure activity for the rich and interested. But the way things are, it's really looking like most of the illustration work (which is an overwhelming majority of what human artists get paid for) will be done by AI.
