I mean the training depends on the model, once it's done training you likely won't need to train it again. They have actually taken measures to reduce the energy usage which is great.
Well water cooling ins't uncommon, it's FAR better than fans IMO which use electricity. Just about every server chugs water usage. But actually generating a single image uses a little less energy than making a 3d model in blender.
I see it like this, every human CAN easily waste energy, I could go out and burn 100 pieces of paper. Would I do that? No. I don't see harm in using AI to entertain yourself personally. It's the same as grabbing a piece of paper as a child and scribbling on the page
