@badtyprr  Great perspective, and yeah I appreciate your thoughtfulness too. It's kind of sad when the YouTube comments section is the one place you can have a discussion like this lol. This used to be the dumbest forum on the internet 15 years ago, times have changed. And it's totally understandable to not be able to find a random AI song you heard at a restaurant! There's probably over 100 million AI tracks on the internet so your odds of success aren't very high. I've tried having discussions like this on reddit, but everyone just constructs strawmen to tear you down. I think a lot of it stems from a team sports mentality since AI is a contentious issue. You either think AI is perfect in every single instance or that LLM are a completely cursed technology that should never be used. I tend to side closer to the latter, but I do think a lot of artists are too focused on what AI is right now and not what it could be without a profit motive or stolen assets in the training data. But that's probably a while away, I generally don't trust the AI companies that exist right now to incentive innovation and creativity. It's just dissapointing because the stigma could stop truly great artists from figuring out new applications for the tech. But nobody wants to be associated with the slop polluting the internet right now, it would be career suicide for most.
