Self driving cars do make better and safer decisions than the majority of people. What the car in this video did is literally how any driver would make that turn if traffic ended up going a little faster than anticipated, and the news anchors commenting on the video even said so themselves. It's a statistical fact that self driving cars are MUCH safer than humans. Sure, some people are safer than others, but we are talking about the vast majority. I'd absolutely replace 100% of people with self driving cars right now if I could. Driving would be way safer.
