First off, algorithms don't think nothing, they are just not able to. AI included. It's the people who create the algorithms are making the decisions ultimately. Second off, there may be a correlation between mental state and the chance of committing a crime, so why not testing for it? What would *you* ask if your job was to decide if given suspect would about to commit crimes repeatedly or not?
