There's an analogy I've heard used:
A lily pad plant doubles itself every day. If it takes 50 days to cover the entire pond with lily pads, at what day will the pond be half covered?

Where are we in this timeline vis a vis AI? I'm not sure, but the point is:
The pond still looked fairly open on days 46, 47, 48...and people might think: oh, we still have plenty of time to figure out how to curtail the lillies. Then day 49 happened...
So, if we take this and map it to AI job displacement:
Say Day 50 = full job automation, then current indicators and expert timelines suggest we might be around Day 10–20—the phase where early disruption begins, but most work remains human-driven. Some warning voices anticipate we could be as early as Day 25–30 if rapid displacement accelerates.
