There are two types of companies which are showing some sort of success with AI and agentic tooling but only one is likely to lead to long term success. The first are the ones letting it run riot and just want to go fast but have very little processes in place. Their success is probably limited and overhyped and will come to a grinding halt once they need to scale the slop they built their product with. The other already has very solid technical foundations and processes in place such as great documentation, large test coverage etc. and they are using AI in places where it can perform well and be a net benefit.
