@spacekitt.n I've seen this argument for a bit, but the flaw of traditional painting vs photography re: A.I. art is that photography utilizes the same artistic skills differently — like color theory and composition — while requiring new skill sets like having an eye for angles. Different skills lead to different outputs, but still artistic pursuits. Photography is still art.
Truth be told, I personally think that likening photography to A.I. is strange because of the aforementioned skills photography employs; photography still takes talent and skill, but A.I. is just... words, and let's be real — if you're just gonna write words to describe the image in your head, then you're better off trying to be a writer.
