Uh... My guy, if you spent half a second looking into Hinton's political history you'd know that his beef with the right isn't because of Trump. His beef started with _Reagan_ and continues with all of the right-wing politicians that follow in Reagan's footsteps, which happens to include pretty much every major figure in today's republican party.
I can't imagine the cognitive dissonance it must take to look at a nobel prize winning pioneer of the technological revolution of the day and dismiss _him_ as being deranged simply because his politics don't match with your preferred tv celebrity turned politician. Especially since Hinton's argument here is basically just that we should regulate AI companies while we still can so we avoid turning the world into a Black Mirror episode.
