Well, I work in IT and you have to keep in mind that these devices are being controlled by humans behind the scenes. ChatGPT is being controlled by biased humans behind the scenes. Those humans set the parameters and such. ChatGPT isn’t an open source software.
Now, if ChatGPT was open source then it would be a little bit better. But, all technology is created by humans. Biased humans. And I guarantee that the technology is influenced by them.
The influence might be minimal or it might be great—you never know for sure unless you have access to the source code.
I write reports for a living which involves writing a lot of code. And I have seen firsthand some former fellow coworkers (only one who was really questionable) who would hardcode something into the code to make the results appear more pleasing to the requester. I confronted that coworker about it but the coworker just ignored me. Management knew about it too at the time and ignored it as well.
I no longer work at that company. I am at a better one now, with better management.
But, anyways, never put full trust in anything—except God. IT is imperfect too.
