@user-sn9gv1fi2kexhorbitant energy and resource usage, job loss across the world in a wide swath of industries, the dissolution of fundamental education systems as we know them due to the offloading of human thought to AI, the dissolution of verifiable truth in political, geopolitical and criminal dealings, the ever-encroaching spectre of an AGI which we cannot control, which could have access to the automated tools of war that we have already built, and of course, just the general enshittification of basically all forms of entertainment.
You may not be paying attention to the variety of troubles this technology causes but they are real and they are having real, harmful effects on human beings right now.
