Billion in 2018, that’s a lot of yarn.
Any person in a modern civilization has either driven a car or has been in one, therefore the term has become universal. Even when/if there is fully autonomous vehicles, we may still use the term drive, but would not be surprised if we differentiate it with terms like “navigate” or “pilot”. Example, you pilot a boat is actually the correct term, but most people will say “drive a boat, steer a boat, captain a boat”. There is a dying breed that actually uses the term pilot a boat.
