@disorderandregression9278Even if AI art gets good enough to look human-made, it’s still missing the thing that actually makes art human—vision, style, and innovation. It can imitate but not originate. Most of what it spits out feels generic because it has no reason to evolve beyond what already exists.
For AI to truly compete with artists, it would have to function completely differently. Right now it doesn’t draw—it generates. There’s a difference. The minute we build an AI that can actually draw and make deliberate choices, the only conversation left will be about replacement. And honestly, the people who will keep getting hired aren’t the ones fighting AI—they’re the ones learning to use it better than anyone else.
