But there’s a lot of work that goes into photography, sure most people will just snap a pic and it’s good enough but professional photographers put a lot of effort into getting stunning shots. A camera is a tool and a skilled person will know it inside and out. AI as it exists is a black box technology that you don’t have nearly the level of control as with a camera and ultimately the result is a roulette wheel with basically none of your human input. It just sees words and spits out images, I can copy paste someone else’s prompt and get the exact same result, lest we get mired in trying to somehow copyright strings of keywords.
I kind of get the idea you’re trying to get at and I agree on some level. As a DJ and musician id love to just spin tracks and make what I want, but a lot of artists currently rely on their art just to make rent and AI art is threatening their ability to do so.
