Ai bros often use modern art and modern museums to show that "real" art can also be meaningless and stupid and slapdash (which a lot of it is, including many of the big names of 20th century art). The artwork in old-style museums, where the art was mostly made before the first world war, are indeed impressive, but that is not at all what the modern artist creates.
