Companies are expecting to be able to use AI in place of actual workers and it is not going to play out well for them and will be a disaster. Example, there was a court case where a person was trying to buy airline tickets to go to a funeral and the AI system told the person incorrect information on how to get the discounted rates. The airline did not honor the discounted rates because the customer went about it the wrong way. The courts force the airline to uphold the discounted rates because the AI system was working as an agent of the airline when giving the customer incorrect instructions which the customer followed. This is a legal precedent that will continue to play out as AI continues to screw up and the AI is a hired agent of the company so the screw up is now to be honored by the company.
