@fibbthehuman You're right ! It's highlighting the fact that artists are undervalued and underpaid, and I think that's a problem that has to be talked about on its own too. But I think some artists are misunderstanding how AIs work and it's normal because it's not their field of work, but choosing to close themselves completely without doing research in how it works. Like the fact that other AIs are choosing the pictures used to train the art AIs, and nobody ( from the big well-known AIs at least ) is saving images from artists on twitter on their computers to do it, that we're talking about billions of pictures, it would be really long and tedious if they didn't do that. and the fact that you could NEVER get a piece that has already been drawn by somebody the same has it was, an AI just doesn't work like that. I still think people should be able to tell them " no, I don't want my image to be in it. " in some way, though. I didn't see people shitting on artists because of it tbh, I'm not on twitter so I'm not confronted to discourse a lot. I also think it comes to what my first comment is about. It's not by screaming at anybody that is a little bit enthusiastic about AIs that we're going to accomplish anything and I don't think it's making people inclined to help artists. We have to make the difference between people who are scamming others and stealing pieces of art and people who are enthusiastic about a new piece of technology. And it works for other people too, like maybe don't yell at an artist because they're afraid their work is going to be stolen.
