There is nothing wrong with nightshading your own art and that shouldn't be compared to scraping the entire internet. Its my art, I can do what I want with my own art for whatever reason. If someone starts a small AI business with artistic intent, why are they going into a business that actively wants artists to become obsolete while using them as their ingredients without permission.
Whatever AI masterpiece happens depends on the chance that it takes a meaningful real desision from a real artist buried in the data. It doesn't matter how much effort is put in AI. Providers of the training data is genuinely impressive but why not license artists considering its so important. Its not just that AI takes other peoples art as its only ingredients, its entirely other peoples art and one promtper who wants all the credit.
Its not subjective that AI art is entirely made of other people's work, its an objective fact and it doesn't matter what the art looks like.
