I wonder if the police is able to say anything else considering Uber is such a huge corporation at the moment, I wonder though had it been a person driving if they would have said the same thing. What I expect Uber to do along with google cars and Tesla cars autonomous systems is to prove to us by demonstrating just how safe these vehicles are by jumping on a motorcycle or bicycle and riding in front of the cars then ride as though you were riding in normal traffic and have the car demonstrate actions to avoid hitting other none car or truck vehicles. No where have they demonstrated any avoidance with motorcycles or bicycles, no videos, however there have been some people who own Teslas that have shown how they can't avoid said other vehicles and pedestrians. We should be shown evidence of their capability to avoid 1/ pedestrians 2/ motorcycles 3/ bicycles. None of which are available or have been tested, and like I said the only thing being shown is how they can't avoid pedestrians. So if the police are saying the accident was unavoidable let's see the evidence cos if it were a person they would have had them up on charges of that i'm pretty sure of.
