@thewannabecritic7490 All these analogies are logical fallacy. All these same arguments were said of the printing press and the camera. A human can input more than a single sentence, can iterate, direct, make decisions, and guide the tool via natural language text voice audio image and video. Human technique skill and agency in using the tool. Being lazy using one short sentence prompt isn't the fault or function of the LLM. That is the fault of the human. The human cannot be taken out of the process. Art is an exclusive human creative endeavor that can only be done by humans, and thought about and perceived fully by humans. The essence of art is an exchange of concepts and consciousness between two human minds. LLMs are like any other tool. LLMs have no human agency, consciousness, cognition, or understanding. Like it or not, it is just a machine, a tool, a technology created by humans. You cannot deny that fact. That you don't like it, or don't think it is a tool, or refuse to use it as a tool is a subjective opinion and your prerogative. What you do not get to do, is dictate what other humans decide for themselves about anything. LLMs have no sentience, no mind, or any other exclusive human characteristic. Without a human mind, a machine cannot create or perceive or understand art as a human does. Art is still an exclusive human directed creative endeavor. You are mistaking modeling and simulation for the real thing. All other arguments are economics, ethics, law, morality... all very valid human arguments. But they STILL do not change the philosophical empirical ontological fact that a human with intent and will can decide to use AI as tool and medium to create art that expresses their own genuine human lived experience. And humans are doing exactly that right now. That you don't like that they can and are doing it, is purely yours, and many others, subjective opinion. Those opinions do not negate the existence of the tool or the humans using it to create art.
