It’s the most difference between gather-collectors society and sedentary agricultural society as well. Gather collectors was developing a mindset towards an integration with it (with death) as cyclical experience we are inevitably running to. They integrated that by something that’s some anthropologists call “the archetypal language”, or symbolic language. But then, agricultural societies urged to forget and ban it by dissociative fugue, and formed in itself the ego as a center of agency and consciousness. Ego turned out to avoid death in all forms, because it didn’t find out how to overcome traumas from ancient savanna hominids… and that’s the problem, or mainly, the negative singularity problem we are facing today by trying to cope with AI (mental) capabilities.
