Not because of AI, unless you've been using it to write your resume / CV. New grads are competing against out of work & job-switching experienced people. If a lot of talent is in the hiring pool, then folks with less (or no) track record are going to look less appealing.
Your best bet is to work (or build) your professional network. Most jobs aren't obtained by being the best in the pile - you want to avoid the pile entirely. Good luck.
