That's true. I've been working for my previous employer for the past 1 month, after a 6 year gap in career due to personal reasons. And I was alarmed to learn everything's changed. Everyone's using AI. So, in the past month, I was forced to adapt to AI assisted coding and to be honest, I hardly wrote 5 to 6 lines of code. I have my debugging skills and architect mindset still intact, thanks to my 12+ years of experience. In all honesty, I say that Agents / LLMs like Claude Opus are like a Senior Architect.
