@aurochsxx5932 These systems are not autonomous and do not possess even the most basic level of consciousness. The difference between human and so‑called AI pattern recognition is that humans understand what they recognize, while behind AI there is only an algorithm identifying patterns. Consciousness is not a trivial matter. Current AI systems generate responses to prompts on a probabilistic basis. This interview is pure fearmongering and deception. Its sole purpose is to attract attention in an extremely unethical way. This so‑called expert is exploiting the fact that today’s pattern‑recognition systems, language models, and generative AI models appear to be intelligent. In the 1970s and 1980s, even a video game could seem intelligent to humans, but we are still only imitating human intelligence. Frankly, I would regulate this kind of fearmongering very harshly under criminal law. When will the first person jump off a bridge because they think superintelligence will wipe out humanity?
